An ancient cultivar of undoubtedly Adriatic origin. Its rather peculiar name seems to derive from the structure of its small, slightly winged bunches of rather spherical, intense yellow grapes, which look like a little bird.
It seems that Passerina grapes may actually derive from the "Psithia" grapes described by Virgil.
