Rosso Piceno Doc

Rosso Piceno was the first controlled denomination of origin to be created in our area. This wine has been known from antiquity, and its name derives from the pre-Roman Picentes tribe. It is a prestigious DOC wine set up in 1968.

The regulation indicates the following composition: Montepulciano in a percentage varying between 35% and 85% and Sangiovese in a percentage varying between 15% and 50%. All other non aromatic red grape cultivars recommended and/or authorised for the respective growing areas may represent up to a maximum of 15%, either individually or combined.
